This two-week course will cover topics such as U.S. and international frameworks for IP protection, IP management for technology commercialization, licensing, IP issues in negotiating international agreements, creating offices for IP management and technology transfer, and launching start-up companies based on research generated at public sector institutions. The program will be based on lectures from a faculty comprised of university professors, technology transfer managers, and IP lawyers, as well as on practical case study exercises and field trips.
The Licensing Academy has welcomed over 200 students from 50 countries over the past five years of the program. This year we will have another class of multicultural participants, which will continue to strengthen an already invaluable international network of IP professionals.
