The first edition of Licensing Academy in 2011 was part of a series of international workshops in Intellectual Property and Technology Commercialization that PIPRA organized with funding provided by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Subsequent editions of the "Academy" were only possible with the support of our generous sponsors and partners, which provided funding to offer scholarships for participants in developing countries with limited resources.
